College of Veterinary Medicine Holds a Workshop in Cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre of Our University Entitled «Psychological First Aid and Peer Support»

The College of Veterinary Medicine held a workshop in cooperation with the Continuing Education Centre of our University entitled «Psychological First Aid and Peer Support» on Monday, 22 December 2025, in the hall of the Continuing Education Centre, delivered by Asst. Lect. Al-Zahraa Al-Batool Ibrahim and Asst. Lect. Saja Mahdi Yaseen.

The workshop aimed to enhance health awareness, particularly mental health, and to introduce the concept of psychological first aid and its importance in dealing with individuals exposed to psychological stress, accidents or emergencies, as well as developing individuals' skills in providing initial psychological support, which is a fundamental step in helping a person overcome trauma and reduce its negative effects.
