Health risks of drugs - methods of prevention and treatment

In implementation of the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah Prof. Dr. Bassem Abdel Hussein JarallahUnder the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Education Prof. Dr. Safaa Hussein AliThe psychological counseling unit at the college, in cooperation with the continuing education unit, held an awareness-raising seminar entitled “Health risks of drugs - methods of prevention and treatment», as part of the activities of Drug Awareness Week, in which he attended Pharmacist Dr. Ibrahim Rahim Khalaf From the Dhi Qar Health Department.

The symposium discussed the serious health and psychological effects of drug abuse, and the serious damage it causes that may lead to death, as well as introducing the most prominent signs and symptoms that may appear on drug abusers, explaining the correct methods for dealing with them, and emphasizing the importance of prevention and health awareness in reducing the spread of this dangerous scourge.

The symposium aimed to enhance health awareness among students, establish a culture of drug prevention, and develop their responsibility to protect themselves and their community from its destructive effects, thus contributing to building a safe and conscious university environment.
