Under the sponsorship and guidance of the President of the University of Shatrah, Professor Dr. Bassem Abdul Hussein Al-Ghazi, the University of Shatrah delegation participated in the unified condolence procession of Iraqi university students that was held in the Holy Governorate of Karbala, in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and in remembrance of the painful tragedy of Al-Taf, with the participation of more than five thousand students and academics from various Iraqi universities.
The University of Shatrah’s participation stems from its keenness to consolidate religious and humanitarian values in the souls of its students, and to enhance their presence at events that are inspired by the renaissance of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), meanings of reform, sacrifice, and steadfastness in principles.
The President of the University also stressed that this participation enhances the presence of our students in religious and national events, consolidates faith and national values, and develops their spirit of belonging and responsibility, in a way that embodies the lofty principles that Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) promoted in reform, sacrifice, and upholding the values of truth and justice.
