Today, Monday, August 31, 2026, the President of the University of Shatrah, Professor Dr. Basem Abdul-Hussein Al-Ghazi, received in his office the member of the Dhi Qar Governorate Council, Engineer Zainab Al-Asadi, in the context of discussing a number of files and issues related to the reality of the university and ways to support its academic career.
During the meeting, the most prominent problems and challenges facing the university were discussed, and appropriate solutions were discussed, in a way that contributes to providing a suitable university environment for students and teachers and improving the level of services provided.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of increasing the admission capacity at the University of Shatrah, in proportion to the numbers of students and their desires to enroll in various academic specializations, and to enhance the university’s role in accommodating students from the governorate and neighboring regions.
The two sides stressed the importance of cooperation and coordination between the university and the Dhi Qar Governorate Council and joint work to address challenges and support educational institutions in a way that contributes to developing the educational process and achieving the university’s future goals.
