President of the University receives a delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine and receives an official invitation to attend the central graduation ceremony

The President of the University of Shatrah, Professor Dr. Bassem Abdel Hussein Al-Ghazi, received this morning, Sunday, September 27, 2026, in his office, a delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine, in the presence of the Assistant to the President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Fadel Mohsen Hamad, within the framework of communication and coordination between the Shrine and Iraqi universities to discuss the university’s participation in the central graduation ceremony for students.

In his speech, Mr. President of the University welcomed the guest delegation, praising the generous initiative from the Shrine: “Our university and its students are proud of this generous invitation, which reflects the keenness of the Holy Abbasid Shrine to support science and students, and we will work to actively participate in this annual forum, which represents a bridge between academic institutions and religious and cultural authorities.”

For their part, the delegation of the al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine confirmed that the university and its students occupy a distinguished position in the central ceremony, noting that the invitation comes as an expression of the Shrine's appreciation for the pioneering role that universities play in shaping the future.
