Ali Hashim Ali, a student at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Shatrah, took part in the proceedings of the sixty-first session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
The session saw high-level international attendance, with the participation of around 240 figures including heads of state, foreign ministers and UN officials, in addition to diplomatic delegations representing various countries of the world, including Iraq.
The participation of the student Ali Hashim reflects the presence of Iraqi youth in international forums and the role of academic institutions in supporting distinguished students and enabling them to contribute to discussing major humanitarian issues, particularly the files of human rights and fundamental freedoms on the agenda of the UN organisation
